During our visit to Argentina, we were enamored by the unique blending of Cabernet Franc with Malbec, as was our Winemaker Scott Sabbadini.  When the opportunity came to buy some of these grapes from our friends at Kiona Vineyard (Red Mountain AVA, Washington State), we decided to make the blend.  It has 64% Cabernet Franc and 36% Malbec, and was aged 16 months in French oak barrels.

The Wine is a blend of 64% Cabernet Franc and 36% Malbec. During our visit to Argentina, we were enamored with the unique blend of these two varieties. Our Winemaker Scott had the same impression while working in Argentina. These grapes are common in Bordeaux blends but are seldom the sole varieties. When an opportunity came to purchase some of these grapes from our friends at Kiona Vineyard in Red Mountain Washington, we decided to make this Argentine-inspired blend.
