The Grape variety for this wine, Auxerrois, pronounced aus-ser-whah, is a sibling of Chardonnay and is grown primarily in Alsace and Germany.
The Wine is reminiscent of line-dried sheets in the early summer sun. A medley of aromas, with white flowers, fresh cut hay, stone fruit pits, and a touch of cardamon, mingle on the breeze. A sweet entry expands to a very lively acidity with crushed stone minerality and a long crisp apple finish. This wine honors Pattie's grandmother Viola, a strong German-American whose bear hug could squeeze you to pieces.
